About Our Trust

School Improvement

Reepham Primary (22)

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust exists to improve the educational experience of all pupils in every Trust school.

We focus on improving the quality of education, specifically developing knowledge rich curricula and developing teaching pedagogy. By doing this, we seek to produce:

  • The best possible academic outcomes for each individual.
  • Young people with the skills and attributes that will help them in the world of work.
  • Good citizens and kind people

We have highly developed programmes to develop and invest in our leaders, teaching staff and support staff. This includes:

  • Headteachers meeting every month in a school improvement network to share best practice, develop improvement programmes, discuss standards, plan staff training and learn from each other.
  • Headteachers regularly visiting each other’s schools, to learn from them and to observe best practice.
  • The Trust’s Executive Primary Lead regularly visiting all schools to engender school improvement, develop leadership, monitor standards and observe lessons with school leaders.
  • The Trust’s Chief Executive Officer working with the Executive Primary Lead and Headteachers to engender school improvement and develop leadership.
  • All primary class teachers meeting as year teachers to share ideas, share curricula, moderate pupil work and plan lessons together. As part of their performance management, all teachers are expected to spend a day observing lessons in a partner school.
  • Primary subject leader networks to share and develop best practice.
  • Primary school improvement programmes, including Maths Mastery and the Great Teaching Programme.
  • EYFS network meetings to share best practice and moderate work.
  • Secondary collaboration and development between members of Senior Leadership Teams, Heads of Department and departments, to share best practice, share curricula and develop pedagogy.
  • Utilising the experience of our all through school and organising cross-phase teacher meetings, to ensure that our pupils experience a seamless curriculum that is understood and developed by all.
  • Support staff team meetings to share and develop best practice.
  • Combined primary and secondary SENDCO networks to share and develop best practice.
  • Trust wide CPD events, using best practice from Research School programmes.
  • Investment in training for all staff (not just teachers) as a priority for the Trust.
  • Securing external evaluation to help the Trust identify areas of strength and areas requiring further development.

Our Schools

Synergy Multi-Academy Trust comprises fifteen Norfolk schools serving children between the ages of 2 and 18. Our schools work collaboratively together to raise standards and provide education of the highest possible standard, offering the best of opportunities for pupils. The Trust was initially established in 2015. We believe that all of our schools have strengths and areas to develop, and that all can improve through sharing expertise and wisdom. The Trust understands that there will be excellent practice in each school, and that every school will be able to contribute to the development of the Trust as a whole.
